The Guy On The Airplane Who Kept Trying To See What I Was Drawing (Click Picture)

As I mentioned before, I took advantage of a recent flight from Florida, to get alot of drawing done. It is an interesting space to work because everyone in the row peers over to see what you are doing. I am pretty sure that in most cases when people are looking over my shoulder they are usually thinking A.) "He draws like a 3rd grader" or B.) "I could do that." or C.) "A 3rd grader could do that." Anyway, I thought I would have a little fun and draw the guy to my right across the aisle who kept staring over at me. I thought about giving it to him but I thought that would have been a little wierd. That is probably a gesture that would alarm Homeland Security and I would get wisked off to some back room at the airport. So, here we are, a couple weeks later and I finally finished the guy on the airplane who kept trying to see what I was drawing... Enjoy!

9 (Click Picture)

The Beatles referenced it. The cat has that many lives. I watched an old episode of Heroes recently and one of the characters lived in Apt. #9. Numerologists might say that it is the most humanitarian of numbers. (I know nothing of numerology so I don't get how a number is humanitarian. I'm sure someone can clarify that.) Anyway, last but not least, there are 9 here because that is how many could fit equally across the page. I suppose had I rotated the paper to portrait, this may have been called 5. Sidenote: I was just thinking this may be the first Keemo posted here that has no color. Feels good for a change... Enjoy!

3 More Because I Like Them (Click Picture)

For some reason I really like these paint sample drawings. I like drawing them. I like how they look when they are done. I like the fact these samples are being rescued from the trash. What is not to like? (Well, I guess if you dont like my artwork, then there is probably alot to not like. Actually, if you dont like my artwork you would not have made it this far into the story). Anyway, sorry about that tangent. I guess in the end it is about all those above things staying true. As long as they say true than there will be 3 more.... Enjoy!

The 2 Ninjas (Click Picture)

It is important to support those who support you. Plain and Simple. I'm pretty sure that has to be written down somewhere. (Im guessing it has to be in a Hallmark card at least!) Anyway, I was cleaning out my backback this afternoon, from the trip down south a couple weeks ago and ran across these 2 business cards. Steve and Anthony. So, here is to them, the 216, their hard work and their belief in my artwork. Even if you don't bid on this piece, just remember to support those who support you... Enjoy!

Portrait of On Paris Postcard #6 (Click Picture)

This is the 6th in the "Paris Postcard" series. I was looking over my bookshelf and there was a bunch of papers shoved between a couple books. Among other things there were about 15 postcards that were of different photos taken in Paris during the 1920's. This one in particular is called "Moulin Rouge Theater". All the postcards are very Paris and you can hear an accordian playing and it all makes the Michigan winter seem all that much colder. With that.. Enjoy!

I Milked A Dairy Goat. (or I Drank At A Pirate Bar In Ybor City) (Click Picture)

The daughter of one of my friends went to the county fair with the thier babysitter. I don't remember how old she is. (knowing kids ages is not one of my strong skills) I will say she is still at the age where her feet barely clear the seat of the chair when she is sitting it. Apparently, when you go to the fair, you can milk a dairy goat. Not only can you milk the dairy goat but they also give you a ribbon that reads, "I Milked A Dairy Goat". (Gotta love the Midwest). I'm not even sure under what circumstances you would proudly display such a ribbon that boasts your dairy goat milking capabilities. Question: Is that a skill set you can take with you into other lines of work? None are coming to mind. Anyway, that led me to start thinking that it would be nice if people handed out blue ribbons for more things. Like a blue ribbon that reads, "I Drank At A Pirate Bar In Ybor City" or "I Didn't Complain After My Order At Wendy's Was Messed Up" or "It Is Late And I Should Be In Bed But Im Not Because I'm Writing This Story". I suppose we all deserve blue ribbons for something that we have done but apparently the only thing that is worthy is Milking A Dairy Goat... Enjoy!

Baby At The 216 That Looked Like A Keemo. (Click Picture)

There was a really nice couple at the 216 show with their baby. (One of the things that I regret from the show at Studio 216 was that I didn't get this baby's name. - I'll have to find that out.) Anyway, the baby was wearing this great hat that looked (almost) exactly like the hat in this painting. I was chatting with someone and I hear "Hey! It's a real live Keemo!" I turn around and sure enough, there is this baby, in this hat, that looked remarkably like a living Keemo. The baby had a look on it's face like it didn't really care what the fuss was about. We all laughed. Anyway, here is to the baby and to the great parents that bring their kids to art shows. Here here!... Enjoy! (you know, I should see if I can get a photo and show you what I mean...)

God Hates Seven Things (Click Picture)

This is the 9th in the "Book of Facts" series. (I was going through a bunch of books that were stored away in boxes. I ran across this old book of facts. It is just page after page of wierd facts. After about 2 pages, I thought, "this is perfect!") On this page there was just one that jumped out at me as being particular unbelievable: God Hates Seven Things. Am I the only one that finds this a little out of place in a book of facts? I guess it doesn't really matter because it is without a doubt, the best one that I stumbled across and worthy of a painting all its own. As a side note and just to be sure, I did look up Proverbs 6:16-19 and was quite relieved to find that I was not on Gods list of the seven things he hates. Whew! ... Enjoy!
