Yes, let's get going here folks. I'm watching the news and the economy sucks.



So, here's what's working for me...commissions. Cheap commissions. I'm busy, my margin of return on a piece of art has diminished but at least it's coming in.



I'm painting a lot of dogs. We have a doggie daycare here. Wealthy people take their dogs to daycre while they're at work. This place is thriving. These people love their dogs. I've made a couple sample portraits and hung them at the daycare. I give 10% to the doggie daycare for each commission I get through them. It's a good deal!

Economy


I agree that the current economy isn't art friendly...especially in my price range. I am beginning to see sales again which is refreshing...they aren't big paintings. My smaller work seems to be seliing again.

In the meantime I am working away and am teaching workshops and lessons. I have approached some galleries but they are full now...so will wait a few months and try again.
