About Me: It began with the Joy of Painting series on PBS. I liked the approach of Bob Ross. "We dont't make mistakes, we have happy accidents". I am a raw beginner. I'm still working on improving my techniques, and still learning all the basics. Going to my easel is a form of escape. As Bob Ross said, "this canvas is your world and you can do anything you want in your world". And "if it makes you happy its good". I don't use the "wet on wet" style that Bob Ross used (I just enjoyed watching him). I use water miscible oils and traditional oils. I've been painting for about a year and a half. I don't expect to sell my work, nor do I expect to be a Vincent Van Gough. But who Knows? If I keep on working at it and I don't drop dead anything is possible. Thank you for stopping by. P.S. I'd also like to thank all of you for your kind comments, advice, suggestions, encouragement and the friendships, you have given me. It's because of all of you, I stay inspired. If there is one thing I have learned from all of you it is this...NO DISCOURAGEMENT!
