I read the Royal Photographic Society Journal articles--very impressive.  (I already knew you made great photographs.)  Thanks for posting the blog.

Hi Gary,

It seems we are both second career artists; it's neat to have that in common with one as talented as you are! Thanks for your kind comments about my work...I must say I am completely captivated by yours.

I visited the site for your book of Native American photographs. The photos are compelling. I was forced to tear myself away from their eyes in order to enjoy the skill of your compositions. What a gift you have...and it is a thrill to hear the voices of the subjects alongside the photographs. I don't believe I have ever seen anything like it.

Also enjoyed your city scapes and the telescope shots! The great silver eye to the sky.

Honored to be your Scuttlebutt friend,

Laurie

Thanks Gary, I'm glad you like my new paintings. But I can't take all the credit. I've been fortunate to work with some great models.

Gary, it's good to have you as a friend - thanks for the invitation. I love your images, particularly those of the native American people.  There's a quiet dignity about them which I love.

Hi Gary-Thanks for your comment on my work.  Your work is really wonderful as well.  I am particularly drawn to your dramatic lighting, that's what turns me on, as you can tell from my work.  And really love the portrait of the woman looking left to the window light-sort of Vermeer like.
