Hello art fans! my name is Caralyn and I am an aspiring young artist who specializes in fantasy artwork. I have done a multitude of pieces with a variety of materials including pencil and ink on paper, acrylic paint on canvas, polymer clay, Photoshop, and even MS Paint.

I create my artwork as a long-time hobby, but I have also done custom professional work in the Atlanta area including sketches, full color drawings, clay sculptures, and painted wall murals.

I grew up in the Atlanta area with nine brothers and sisters, but somehow still managed to find time for my art and continually improved on it.

Thank you for the friend request and kind words about my work. I am such an amateur compared to so many of the true artists on here!! Wow. Just blows me away really. lol

Nice to have you as a friend and I look forward to sharing our works with each other! Have a great rest of the week. I will be helping my husband at a bike rally in North Kansas. He tattoos and pierces. One more rally after that and we'll be done for another season. sigh

I went to Dragon Con in the early 90's for the D&D competition and remember the art show. I thought how cool it would be in it. I'm sure nowadays it is incredible with all the digital art(I'm still old school) out there, the sky's the limit for what you'll see there. Sounds like a good time. Going by your art you should do well. Good luck. Mike.

Hi.......I forgot to mention that Golden has something called "retarder" that can be added to their regular acrylic paints--it slows the drying process.  I have used it and it works--I just hope I don't accidentally ingest any!

I read your blog.  There are "open" acrylics on the market--they stay wet longer.  Both Golden and Interactive make them; you can read about them and order from www.jerrysartarama.com or at www.dickblick.com.  Jerry's actually sells Golden sets of 6 colors for under $20.

I purchased some but have not used them yet--they look promising.  Good luck.
