Generally reserved. Can be quite outspoken and unyielding. Sometimes funny. Friendly. Flirtatious. Attentive. A gentleman. A loyal friend. An enduring enemy. Oh yeah, I'm an artist that has been drawing since I can remember. I was blessed with being able to copy pictures and comic book characters as a kid. When I got to the eighth grade I convinced my art teacher to teach me to paint by bringing him a drawing to prove that I already knew how to draw. So there have been some art classes here and there with great teachers that have taught me a lot but I have no degree nor any extensive or expensive credentials. I'm blessed to sell my work when I can to those that enjoy my painting and drawing style.

About My Art:In my art I try to infuse a feeling for the soul of my subjects, to bring out the strength and beauty of scenes and individuals whether real or imagined. I create them to evoke a sense of life, to create a feeling somewhat like that of a wonderful dream that you wish wouldn't end. I try to invite each viewer personally to the places I paint and to feel the heart of a subject in a portrait. Into each piece I try to inject a little bit of the spirit that connects us all.

Women. Basic honesty and a sense of integrity. A sense of humor, although I'm no Eddie Murphy myself. Cleanliness, but not sterile. Nature. Beautiful eyes.

People that have too many secrets and tell too many lies. Liver(it doesn't matter how it's cooked). Ostentatious, pretentious, phonyism. Feet that are dirty when they shouldn't be. A closed mind.

Trying to play my guitar. Fishing. Biking. Used to like hiking. A little bit of exercise. Board games. Computer/video games.

Is it expensive to study in the States? It costs me nothing  until I earn over a certain amount then I pay a percentage back in tax. Also get small Social Security payments and $1,000 scholarship for materials.

I'm a Scorpio too, that's how I knew. It's your choice of colours and outlook I guess. Maybe I'm psychic !!!LOL Not usually into star signs but the thought appeared. Study is great and it's never too late. I'm over 60 and another woman in my class is 73 and 2 others over 50 - thats 4 out of 9 students.

Thanks for your comment! How's it going with your guitar? If I wasn't half way round the planet, we could jam!

Thanks for the comment on my work. The woven images are done with pages from magazines cut into 1cm strips. Very labour intensive. The later sculptural works are from underfelt and also an outdoor carpet. Cheers from Downunder.

Old masters often painted a darker triangle shape in the foreground, such as in your beach scene. Have a look in some books, and you will see this for yourself.  It adds depth and leads the eye around and otherwise dead corner,  I can see how you like to frame the scene with the sands, etc.  I really like your Purple Majesty painting, the bushes glowing in the mid- field area feel like they glow with twilight.
