Marion,

I'm so sorry I never responded to your comment on my sculpture (Birth of the Universe) but somehow I missed it until just now!  Thank you so much for the compliment.  To answer your question, it is mild steel and stainless steel, mounted on wood with a granite base.  It is to be viewed from all sides, but all I've posted is the front.

I really enjoyed your work, especially the image of the pregnant woman.  She looks angelic!

Interesting technique-  I like the texture (at least thats how it appears on my monitor)

Marion - Love the textures, and the interplay of the colors with the textures in Fertility Goddess! I also like the watery background - almost as if the Goddess herself is "in the womb" - As though the whole process of giving birth is like "being born" into a new life for the mother-to-be.

You visited my site - and I thank you! I'm still in the process of uploading images, but please take a look again in a few days....I have a couple pieces that I think relate to yours which will be up soon. Would love to hear your feedback.

I guess you and I are at similar stages in life. I arrived at my art career later also. I have 3 grown sons, one grandson - and another grandbaby on the way!

This web stuff is new to me. Don't know what "role" frinds have on this site....maybe you could enlighten me! Anyway, I'd be happy to have you as a friend. If I can figure a way to ask you how, I'll do it.

 Thanks for visiting my site,

Leslie Jean

Thank you for your comment. I work in oils. I love color! Redheads have become a bit of a muse for me of late.

Thanks for your nice comment.  "The Madonna" is looking for a home.
