I'm an "Open Narrative Artist". I like making work which allows my audience to carry on to completion each story I begin through my work. I find joy in hearing many interpretations of my work.

My early inspiration comes from artists such as Robert Arneson, Mary White, Jackie Thurston, and Stan Welsh.

As I've gotten more creatively mature, my inspiration comes from personal interactions with the world around me. Often these reactions to my environment, as well as my own dreams, inspire me to create certain art pieces. Sometimes I act on pure intuition as to where to draw a line, a dash, a stroke.

Often I use sketches to help me create sculptures, drawings, and paintings. However, this is not a rule I adhere to at all times.
