Hi Liza,

Thanks for the compliments on my piece. I went to MICA for a hot minute. I ended up changing schools before I ever really got started. It's a good school. I like the quality of your work. Very nice!

Cheers,

Mikki

hi liza wonderful to read of your interests and to see some samples of your free and expansive spirit through your work. Taos and the sw in general is a favorite zone for me so i love seeing the great pic of you relaxing and sketching in the high dry air.

Hi Liza, glad you enjoyed my videos! No, that isn't me playing piano. Wish it was! The piano is being played by friend called Fred Cole. However, it is me singing and playing guitar on all the other videos, except Gone but not Forgotten, where Bruce McNicol is playing piano.

I like your wallpaper and the Unfinished Image. I'd be curious to see it when it's finished.

Nice paintings! I like the nest idea. You are very deft with your ability to paint detail. Do you work from photographs ?

Hi Liza,

today I noticed you left a comment at this painting

http://www.artscuttlebutt.com/gallery/view/id_10665/

I guess I missed it.  thank you first for your cmpliments.  This painting is 5 feet by 4.5 feet.  What I did first was cover it with a heavy textured paint that I make up myself with a mix of joint compound and primer.  when it was almost dry I went back and scratched the squares in.  This is why some of them are jagged because the medium was harder there and was almost chiseled off.  then when the paint texture is completely dry I prime it one more time and then start adding the layers of washes and paint... this painting was done all with metallic paints

Hi,

Thanks for the recent compliments on my oil painting "Hibiscus One".  That's the first large flower I painted and it has always been one of my favorites.

All the best,

-Jendria
