I'm 23 going on 24 and have been doing art ever since can remember. I started drawing when I was probably around the age of 6 and never stopped. I used to tape paper together to get big sheets to draw on before I knew any better. I've mostly drawn pictures in black and white finding color theory to be too much at except as of late. I have since started exploring color again after becoming confidant in my accomplishment of black and white studies. I transitioned to color pencils then on to soft pastels where I currently find myself. I feel as if I'm working my way up through the ranks with the final destination being oil paint, but we'll see.
I am currently experimenting with and combining different media. I am using Graphite,Color Pencil, Pastel and Ink in my drawings and occasionally scanning in and manipulating the images on my computer.

I have done many portraits, but recently have been influenced by my mother passing away, the subconscious and how the mind works and how everything is connected together in the world/universe.

As of now my work has been very literal and almost reproductions of everything I see. I have reached a point where I am beginning to have a clearer picture of what I want to achieve with my art and am in a transitioning period. It's almost as if all the years perfecting the basics of drawing(contrast, tone etc.) and learning color theory were an apprenticeship which has finally brought me to this point where I can finally create what I want with confidence.

Pastels,Subconscious,Drawing, sketching ideas down in the dark, listening to music, visualizing,

Waiting tables,Close minded people and other stuff i just can't think of right now.I'm sure there are other things, but why be so negative, ehh.

making short films (whenever there is time and inspiration),learning about the subconscious,Listening to music, drawing, sketching in the middle of the night, learning how things work, creating websites, watching it's always sunny in philadelphia,

Isn't it amazing how our art changes as we go along, totally unplanned. Sounds like you have tried a lot for such a young kid. Keep going, It's the best ride I've ever taken.

Live in the light,

Lisabeth
