Bob Dylan is my favorite, but I'm open to most everything except country/western: So, what do you get when you play a country/western record in reverse?? Your house back, your dog back, your wife back, your pick-up truck back ....

non-fiction

Almost anything. I'm easily entertained

Kathy!

Thank You for Your kind Comments on my Work! The Cat Icons are Oil Pastel and Graphite on Archival Paper which I sometimes stretch on wood stretcher bars before I start painting. I like stretched paper because it is taut like the skin of a drum and the good oil pastels apply like lipstick (I've painted with makeup often). The AE Cats are acrylics, latex house paint, glitter and sundry other addenda on stretched canvas, quilts, cat blankets or whatever strikes my fancy at the time! The painting of my parents is a very early piece (78-79) and is oil paint applied with pallette knives on strtched canvas.

Your egg paintings are delightful, by the way!!

You're right... Economic Downturn does express it all for me. I'm glad it's on the canvas now and not in me anymore. Thanks for everything. -Don

Kathy, Your comments both here and on my blog regarding "Nostalgia" have made my day. Thank you so much for your generous remarks. I'm glad to see you've posted your "Nest Egg..." paintings here. I love 'em - both in what you have to say and how you said it. I'm looking forward to the 3rd one. Happy Painting!   -Don

Thanks, Kathy, for your comments on "Spring Break". On this one I was pushing my envelop with detail work using only a palette knife. The tree was an especially challenging bit of fun. Happy Painting!   -Don
