I joined the group a few days ago and having been enjoying reading all the posts and replies. In answer to a question from Andreapaints, no, you are not the oldest one. I will be 61 next week (where did the years go) but I am a 'young painter'. I took a couple of drawing classes about 15 years ago but did nothing else until I started watercolor two years ago. Now I can't get enough and I'm having a great time, although I am only just now getting enough confidence to answer "I'm an artist" when people ask what I do. The encouragement of other artists on this site has been a blessing. And, I donated a painting to a fundraiser at my church last weekend and it sold for more than the minimum bid! The first thing I've ever sold, so that was exciting. Glad to be a part of this group.
