What are you working on now?

Hey FW,

Thought I might ask what you all are working on right now? What's on your easel, in your studio, etc? What intriguing artwork are you working on? (If you want to, you can add an in process picture in your post! We love those...)

I always have a few paintings that I am working on at one time.

Tonight I was working on a 5"x5" miniature rose painting.  I started to work on another miniature of a chicken but my weary eyes are not cooperating right now so I am taking a break with the computer right now.

On the other side of the spectrum, I am also working on my largest painting ever.  It's a 24"x36" painting of a field of sunflowers.  I'll post once I get around of taking a digital.

:)

I have been working on the marketing side of my work....joining Artscuttlebutt, for one thing, uploading and formatting images for Zapplication, researching other artists' websites (because one of the goals I set for myself this year is to get my own!), and I even talked to a web person to find out my next step. I have to work an outside job at this time, and there are only so many hours left in a day, but I fear that this has become a convenient way to justify not actually make art...so this weekend I begin a new piece. Will update you once I get it going. Kick my b--- if I don't have an update soon!   ---Leslie Jean

Thought and Success

Just curious does anyone see a correlation between how they feel emotionally about a piece of work and how well it is accepted by the world.

for example I have this one painting that I have shown several times and I get really good reviews on it but no one has bought it, many have said they would like to..... When I think about my attachment to the piece I realize I love the painting and in my heart I havent let go of it......

another thought,  these past few years have been good to me I've had successful shows and made a decent income with sales, but lately as I hear more and more about the sinking economy I also notice that my art sales have slowed....Is it my attitude?  my fear about the economy?

would love your thoughts!
