I have been painting for about 10 years now, and began working full-time as an artist in September 2007 when my husband and I created Goble Studios. Working in watercolor and graphite, I capture "everyday inspirations" in detailed studies. My watercolors have won awards both at the national level and the local level. I also find enjoyment in providing graphite pet portraits for pet lovers, and painting acrylic murals for homes and businesses; commissions gladly accepted. I am proud to be a member of the Watercolor USA Honor Society and the Lancaster County Art Association.

I invite you to visit my websites to learn more about myself and Goble Studios, and to enjoy more of my artwork.

I just saw your recent uploads of glass paintings and wanted to stop by to say Hi.  You really did a wonderful job of capturing the reflective quality of the glass!

Thanks for  your comment on Lean On....the person was sleeping on the train (subway here in New York) i always sketch on the subway...everyone is still and they usually have their eyes closed. (Also great for quick sketching) anyway, i did some sketches of him and did take notes on color and a very grainy photo with my cell....with some tweeking here and there, the painting is the result...the Sign actually says, Please do not lean on door...

Hi Diane, I appreciate you stopping by the gallery. I always appreciate your comments and insights. It has been a fun adventure trying to recreate each of the different textures of the masks - and sometimes create my own. I always ask the same question you did, "What is next?". Well, for the first time I'm splitting up the Greek Drama/Comedy masks and using only one of them in a composition which should post this weekend. And after that I'm painting my first lava/stone mask which is a Hawaiian Tiki sculpture which I'm interpreting as a mask... and more to come. Thanks for asking.   -Don

Diane, Nice job on the crystal vase paintings. I gotta admit I'm drawn more to the one in living color...especially since I can see it up close and personal right here on your profile page. I absolutely love all the nuances of color.   -Don

Hey Diane, I'm glad you enjoyed "Cult of Personality". That one started
out as an exercise and grew into much much more. I wrote about it on my blog:

I agree with you
that I may be onto something, I just wish I could bottle it up and use
it on every piece.   -Don

hi there Diane, It's been a while but I wanted to drop by and let you know just how AWESOME I think the last two dog drawings are.  I'm real picky about art with animals and you've done a great job! - Steven

Hi Diane, Welcome back from the Holidays. I know there are a couple of pet owners who are beside themselves. Your recent "portraits" are absolutely gorgeous. After doing all of these graphite pieces I'll bet you are ready to get your brushes wet again. I know I would be missing color...  Happy Painting.   -Don
