Since I can remember, I have called myself an artist. At the ripe age of 38, I began to learn to paint in oils. I love it. I also sculpt and use other media (acrylics, etc. I have taken a few workshops and studied at a atelier for some time.

Life became recently HUGE and I stepped away from my art for awhile to concentrate on the big issues I faced..I am now back with gusto! Ready to learn and ready to create...

My studio is calling. I plan to create more portraits, and figurative art as well as branching into the semi-abstract. I will post more pictures as I go...

Peace, Painting, Artists, really green grass, painting in orange tones, reading, movies, politics (liberal),freedom of speech, how art can unify people, children's laughter, passion, how dogs can love unconditionally, running, marathons, honesty, positive attitudes, "sucking the marrow out of life"

People who have no opinions
War
insincerity
People who are constantly negative
Those who refuse to step "outside the box"

Website design, online retail work, reading art books, dogs, working out, running, marathons, my pets: Henry a sweeter than honey Basset Hound and Annie the darling Pug who must run everything.

I laughed when I read your blog..Ah, the smell of paint in the morning!  I can just imaging you in your studio- having the time of your life!  Isn't just the BEST thing to be an artist?  I am having the time of my life, too.  After 20 years working with my husband, I am doing what I've always wanted to do-  PAINT!      Joy in the journey is what I say-   Love,    me

Good luck on your marathon!!

Well, as I retire for the evening... I can say I finally got into the studio to paint again. I am happy. No great art created, but paint was put to canvas, and a good time was had by all. :)
