Hi thanks for the comment you left on my page-- in answer, Batik IS fun! but its also a big mess! its a little different from other mediums because you use the wax to paint with, and the liquidity is one of the things I enjoy manipulating. The the wax cracks and dye seeps in under it to create the veining, which is unique. You can get some very unusual and unexpected results! currently I am trying to do some shirts....

HI I like your landscapes and all of your work is awesome- I am intrigued by your involvement with plein air, I have recently been doing more and more plein air and really enjoy it. There arent many groups in my part of NY but I have a few friends I go out with.

Looking forward to the warmer weather.. its raining here today.

back to the studio- just wanted to say HI

Thanks so much for your kind words about my art. I am really enjoying your latest postings and am so intrigued by "what I don't know". I almost feel like it's brail. It's one of those pieces I would love to see in person. Very nice!

Cheers,

Sandy
