That's all so funny!  I remember that dumb flashlight (red and white lights) plus strobe they were trying to push.  I was a carrier in the late 50's....56 houses.  Nowadays, no one delivers unless they own a car.  Newsday was an afternoon paper then, but maybe it is a morning edition now.  Funny story...those GD Sunday supplements for Christmas never made it to the homes.  No way was I going to lug them around.  Temporarily, I hid them in the basement....never works.  My father found them in the spring and told me to deliver them!  They did leave the house.....that much I can say...but they never got to the homes!  If you are daily painter, check out Karin Jurick and her website.  She has a monthly challenge called "Different Strokes For Different Folks".  This month anonymous artist are to send in photos of themselves and the photo will be passed along to someone else who will paint their portrait anonymously.  Sound like great fun so I submitted a photo.  You might enjoy the challenge too.

I left a comment about "Whoops" and then read your bio.....I used to deliver Newsday on my bicycle or wagon (when those damn inserts were included).  I also delivered the LI Daily Press, which was probably long gone.  Newsday used to be $.30 a week including Sunday!  And wouldn't you know that some people would ask me to come back when I went to collect.  Who would have thunk about Garden City....my hometown.

Suzanne,

I have had Boston's over the years with varying personalities (all
very willing to please, some sensitive, one strong willed). All have
been loving and extremely devoted but sometimes hyperactive. Easily
trained and all have been very well behaved. We take our Bostons with
us unless the location specifically forbids their presence. Our current
Boston is a rescue dog and goes with us to teach all our art classes.
We will always have a Boston. We have owned many dogs and loved them
all but the one breed we always return to as we get older is the Boston
Terrier.

Thanks

JeffMayfield

Suzanne~I've always enjoyed your work...but never did ask you...are you buggy over bugs...or do they just make wonderful subjects for your paintings?  Also...almost afraid to ask this one, but it's brimming over  into my verbage area during Peak Brain Activity Aka Alpha Waves during sleep...DO YOU DRIVE A VOLKSWAGON?  See...I think deeper than the average person.
