UHG I just returned home from The Ft myers artfest.. My sales here have dropped from the previous years ouch thank god I have 2 more to do.

I feel that the art show market needs some infusion from the tele and radio media endorsing buying original works from artists. instead of the public going to the likes of tjmaxx, homegoods , target, bed bath & beyond. to purchase their art for $49.99 It has never been easier to sell art than now but I get worried by the influx of the china sofa size originals selling at costco for 199.00 with the frame. any one else feel the same

I took a trip through one of the artfairs here in Rhode Island last year and all I saw were glicees selling for a lot of money.  When I was in Florida for a workshop and a little vacation, one of the museums - Marco Island - was selling glicees for thousands$$$$.  A glicee is a reproduction, not like a limited edition print, so I don't understand the concept of signing them either.
