My name is Chuck Cook and I'm a graphite pencil artist. Although I do work in other mediums on occasion. I live in north central Illinois with my wife and five children and four grandchildren. I'm a retired computer programmer and systems analyst.I've come to art late in life. I was sixty before I drew my first picture. I have been drawing and painting since then, which makes it about 15 years now. However it has only been in the last four five years that I have been pursuing art heavily. I feel I'm a better graphite artist than I am in other media. But I think that is because I have devoted about three times as much time to drawing than I have to painting. Only recently have I begun to paint with as much effort as I did drawing.
