Introducing e-friend

Hello to all fellow artists. I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Erika Axt.

In 2007 I quit my job and started painting. My favorite medium is Acrylic on canvas. I originally was experimenting with cutting boards, and mirrors (anything that gave me a smooth surface to paint on). I made a lot of paintings for family members as if painting was just a hobby. Soon I realized after a few conversations with people that I should be posting my work on the internet.

It was not until I bought the Art Calendar magazine (February '08 issue) that I was inspired to post my work on this website. It was the article that was written about Martha Marshall that gave me the kick in the pants I needed. Thank you Martha for the inspirational words.

I hope that people will visit my site and give me their take on my work. That is the main reason I joined this site I want to know what fellow artist think of my work and I want to see what kind of art is being displayed on line.
