Just thought I would remind everyone---I know that someone did a few weeks back and thank you -- to have your images small when you upload them.  When I checked mine I thought they were okay, but when someone posted a comment paranoid me right clicked on the image and I was surprised at the size.  So then I check them all and they were all huge.  Not sure what the issue was with the first check....but I just resized all my images and finished uploading the rest---I was blurry eyed the other night.  My daughter tells me there's  a program in photoshop that will automatically do that for you, but she doesn't know how to set it up.  It's hard to think someone would pirate your work, but don't take any chances.  I did have a painting "sold", thankfully through the Watercolor Society so I got reimbursed, with a bad credit card.  They were so busy selling paintings that night with not enough help and they didn't check like they should have.

I put watermarks on all my pictures that I post but that's as far as I go.  Frankly, I think that if someone wants one of my pictures bad enough, I'm flattered that they'd print one out.  At 72dpi, no one will be able to make any decent reproductions - the most they will do is print out a sheet on their personal home computer.  #1 - that's not a serious art buyer so I'm not losing a potential sale,  #2 - If they stick it up on their cubicle at work that's more exposure for me, and #3 - I have too many other things in my life to worry about, this falls under the catagory of "what I don't know won't hurt me".

I wouldn't be so paranoid if I were you.  The max image on this site is 1000 pixels and no one can make any decent reproductions from that - and if they did, by some miracle of new technology, you'd have a heck of a lawsuit on your hands.  Win win
