I paint mostly in acrylics and usually still lifes and landscapes.  Recently I began trying to do a painting a day of different breeds of dogs. I paint them on wood remants left over  from a deck project for the house.

I cut the pieces into blocks, most around 4"x5" or so depending on the design I am going for.  I call the paintings Block Dog Art, pretty corny!

I began giving them to friends and family as gifts and  I have sold some at a gallery down the street. I like the fact that I am recycling the wood and creating "art" with what might have been hauled off to the dump or use for kindling.

 Hope you enjoy the paintings.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback, I do varnish them, I know the price online is low but thought I would start out with a low price.  I have had better luck selling them in person than on-line, I guess it is good people like the real thing but it would be easier online.  I do do comissions, in fact the first one I did was for someone.  Thanks for the kind words.

These blocks are AWESOME! Too cheap though. Do you varnsih them when they're done? Do you do commissions? You are REALLY onto something cool.
