The Wagoners' Pool I delight in creating a fusion of paintings and poems produced as signed and numbered Giclee prints. I have included in my gallery the original oil of "The Wagoners' Pool" along with the giclee print which includes the poem. The Art & Verse print measures 329mm x 483mm. The original oil measures 355 x 455mm. The poem reads: The Wagoners' Pool Three mighty oaks Reach deep, reach high, Reflected strength against cobalt sky. Sentinels supreme astride the pool Where wagoners once Rested mules to cool. An Authentication Certificate accompanies each print explaining my inspiration for this work: A century ago, wagoners drove their horses into this roadside pool at Cromer Hyde, Hertfordshire, to refresh them and wash the wheels of their carts. The pool was reclaimed by the local residents between 1998 and 1999.
