10/05/2008 as we enter into fall I realized that I had not been a very good netizen.. but I have been a well behaved artist... I thought I'd share my small journey's... I must Credit Jackson County's fellow artists for pushing me so hard! the Visual Arts Council had monthly shows each with a different theme. it allowed me to push creatively if I diden't have anything to theme .. it allowed my mind and creativity to work on something new each month... ok, I pushed the envlope as with the Pod piece now posted and the "girl" (( Crack Whore)) as 3-d paper pieces with mixed embleshments.. More work than they were worth they did push some new paintings too ... the charm bracelets are an extention to the Altered Phase I'd been in .. with altered books stacking up I thought oh no another Book ? .. I loved the freedom of altered art though.. so I took it to a new direction .. expect a few more pictures soon! As for the new paintings, and my having to demo painting or loomed beadwork weekly,.. it's been good for sales.. look for Photo's of paper pumpkin lanterns (no flame lights inside of course) , ... Addictions paintings, Forclosure Paintings.. a few corn husk & candle creations every now & than .. mabe a bead work or two.. who knows .... It's been an exciting year and with the art whirlwind.. I also must announce the campground & educational buildings are currently on the market... through westerncarolinaproperties.com. ... ( commercial properties 7+ ac.. campground) while we love running the campground, store, school, studio's , the rest of our life just won't allow it all.. were back to being artists... and gave up on having a real Job. Anyhow, I do hope you are all well & life has been kind.. -skyfire
