I don't have enough to do so now I get to pull the sails off my boat, double line it, put up hurricane shutters and look forward to Florida traffic without traffic lights (even worse than Boston).

Truth of the matter is, the weeks after a hurricane is MUCH worse than the actual weather. Oh well, the gas tanks are full and the battery supply in good condition.

The latest track puts the eye over us noon Tuesday.

How are you doing? I saw the news this morning and that storm is still hanging around...we lived in Miami for 3 years, and went through the same "lovely" routine: closing shutters, buying canned food, filling the gas tank before they shut everything down,etc...yuck!. But you're right, the week after the hurricane is much worse (people who suffer cabin fever shouldn't be allowed to drive). Well, good luck and be safe!

We are heading home from WV to Cedar Key tomorrow as planned.  It looks like we will run right into the mess by the time we hit the state line.  I hope the worst is over by then.  I got a report from a friend in Brevard about the amount of rain he got.  He had taken the sails off his boat a couple of days before and was glad he did.  The canals are up 10" and he has had about that much rain in his yard.  Here in WV we don't get a lot of TV news about the storm but keep track on the internet.

Yep, the news is in full hurricane overload now up in O-Town too. Interrupting every 3 minutes giving you the updated coordinates, etc. "Buy your water, gas, batteries, canned goods, etc., etc". I hate it. What's worse than the news are all the lemmings that follow every thing they say and then complain later that the news made them do all this stuff. Imbeciles. Thursday can't come quick enough.
