Life Drawing

I go to lifedrawing each Thursday and I really enjoy it.  It's amazing how quickly the time goes when I am drawing there.  It's an activity that is just like meditating for me.  I get completely absorbed in what I am doing and I have no idea what, or if, I even think while I am working.  I'm sure most artists are like this when they are really into what they are working on.  The model was very interesting and that is always inspirational.  They don't need to be pretty just interesting. I like to try something different rather than trying to make a nice picture.  Today I worked in oil pastels over a board that I had painted with the left over acrylic on my pallet. The board was very textured and the paint very random and messy so it was a fun experiment. I will take a photo and post it tomorow.
