Brian was born on Feb. 2, 1978 in Philadelphia, PA and showed an interest in art at an early age. He continued to draw and paint through his formative years; during which time he would receive his first commission, a mural for the Widener Memorial School in Philadelphia, which received high praise from the local community and strengthened his desire to further his studies. At the same time, it was becoming evident that he was developing a 2 nd love…athletics.

During high school, Brian would excel in a number of sports, including football and baseball, which garnered him recognition in and around the Philadelphia area and peaked the interest of various college athletic programs. Most notable of these was Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA; which Brian decided to attend in the fall of 1996 to further his football career and continue studying art.

During his four-year stay at Muhlenberg, Brian’s athletic ability helped turn what was a dismal program into one of the elite teams in the Centennial Conference. He also never lost his passion for the arts and by the Spring of 2000 he graduated a Bachelor in Fine Art with a concentration in drawing and painting, highlighted by a widely praised art exhibit that Summer.

After college Brian continued to hone his technique in the medium of his choice…drawing. The raw and timeless attributes the pencil supplies attracted him the most. He entered numerous exhibits and shows giving him an outlet for the portfolio he was building, among these a 2 nd place finish in 2001 and top honors in 2002 in the Wildwood Civic Association’s annual art show and sale, in Wildwood, NJ. During this time, Brian was regularly attending memorabilia shows and noticed he shared a common love for collecting images of childhood heroes and memorable moments in athletic history with a growing number of like minded enthusiasts. It was at that moment he realized that he could combine his two passions, sport and art.

Brian is now a regularly commissioned artist currently living in New Jersey, where he works out of his private studio in Tinton Falls. His work covers various subject matter although his main interest and, subsequently, a large portion of his portfolio remains concentrated in the marriage of sports and drawing.

Nice work Brian!  Although I'm a Steelers fan I really like the Dick Butkus(#51).  I hope that business is booming. - Steven
