| ABOUT ME |
I started off with paint by numbers and copying images from comic books. Found myself enrolled at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY and was told that I didn't know anything about art. In 1985 I designed a Beginning Art Class for people like me - people with no ability or talent. I now teach quite a few classes! Students learn to draw in my beginning art class and the come to my studio to pursue oil/acrylic painting.

After searching, since 1970, for painting fundamentals, I finally studied with Helen van Wyk in 1994. She gave me the freedom to paint whatever I am able to see.
