I am a Canadian representational artist who works with acrylics on canvas, mount board and watercolor paper. I love drawing and painting, particularly people, landscapes, seascapes and flowers. I have worked with watercolour paints, water soluble oils, oil pastels, coloured pencils, charcoal and graphite. I paint cards and I also make my original fine art paintings into fine art cards and postcards. My original fine art paintings are also made into fine art prints, gicless in different sizes on archival paper or canvas. I have taken courses at university and art schools but I consider myself primarily self taught. I go to places where people congregate, i.e. shopping malls, and I sketch people going about their activities. I sketch faces. I have the opportunity to study the work of other artists at galleries. I am a member of a group that meets every week at the Art Gallery of Ontario to discuss works of art in the Gallery’s collection. I consider myself a lifelong art student.
My art work has received several awards and citations from flickr.com members around the world.
I am also listed in the ArtistsinCanada Directory.
