The LaGrange Art League is pleased to present a 2-day “ Compositional Collage” Summer Workshop with award winning artist Laura Lein-Svencner. She is an award winning artist, a member of the National Collage Society, La Grange Art League, Naperville Art League, Chicago Artist Coalition and Co-Founder of the Midwest Collage Society. Laura believes that the fine art form of collage is an intuitive process achieved when using the elements and principles of design. Workshop attendees will be learning the required design skills needed to create a strong composition. The opportunity for experimentation, spontaneity and the freedom of self expression will be emphasized. The techniques of altering a variety of papers along with image and photo transfers will be taught. If you’re new to collage or have some experience, both will benefit from this workshop which will “Guarantee to leave you inspired and ready to create a whole series of collages.”
Dates: Friday June 20 th and Saturday June 21 st , 2008 Time: 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (short, off-site lunch break) Members $160.00 + $25.00 Non-Members $185.00 + $25.00 Collage Packet fee of $25.00 will be collected at the beginning of the workshop by the instructor. Class size is limited to 12 persons A supply list will be available upon registration and can be picked up at the gallery. Registration for members of the La Grange Art League will begin Monday April 14 th 2008 . Non-members may register beginning Monday May 5 th 2008 .
