Blog Entry: Kingsmen Creek Helps Raise Funds for My Alma Mater
Kingsmen Park
My painting, Kingsmen Creek, sold to the highest bidder for
$2,750, the highest bid of any single item at the Community Leaders
Association’s Violet & Gold Gala fundraiser for California Lutheran
University (CLU), my alma mater. The CLA is a community organization
which supports CLU and sponsors this annual event to raise funds for
the University’s academic program.
The painting is of the creek and bridge in Kingsmen Park at the
heart of the University’s Campus. The 20 x 16 inch oil on linen also
gives a nod to the CLU colors, violet and gold. The image of this
painting was used to publicize the gala dinner and auction.
