Blog Entry: Planting the Seeds 2007 Acrlic /Mixed Media on Board 60.96 X 81.28 cm "Planting the Seeds" is about our actions in this world. I believe we all add our energy to the functions of people's daily lives, by what we say and do. At times in life we do good deeds and at others we fail. Whatever the seeds you plant so shall you reap. Sunflowers symbolize life and solar character. In China they represent immortality. The petals resemble the sun's rays, throughout the daily transit. Its changing colors relate it to all points of the compass. This is similar to our daily focus and the directions they send us in. I was trying to portray the innocence we possess when we plant these seeds, unknowingly for the most part, and the beauty that can be harvested when we do the right thing.
