Title: Monotypes, visitors, storms, and website
Category: bored
Blog Entry: I have spent the past couple of weeks dealing with tropical storm Fay, (a lot of rain but no problems) having visitors, (step-son and family), and rebuilding my web site. My website http://libbysart.com/ is up and running but I will still be making some adjustments and adding new work. Take a look. In spite of all the distractions, I have been able to get to my press and do some monotype prints. This is one that was inspired by the serenade we are getting each night from the frogs that have appeared after the storm. As many as there are, they don't seem to be able to keep up with the number of mosquitos that swarm us everytime we go outside. It is all part of the joy of living in our pest inhabited swamps. I wouldn't have it any other way. Now we are tracking three more storms that look as though they are headed to Fl. We just have to wait to see how close they come. Hope all of you in Gustav's path made it through ok.  By the way, the grandkids loved the monotype process. They couldn't get enough of it.
