Your work is beautifully illustrated, executed with dilligent skill and flawless realism. The shadows are so convincingly smooth, it appears as subtle as those of the airbrushed work. Your awards have come as a result, it is obvious, from years of very hard work. You have earned every bit of them. I am self taught with oil, and although I study and read all I can get my hands upon, I struggle to create such convincing beauty as your work.  Your paintings are very interesting- I'm particularly attracted to "Clown in Siberia". Your objects have a convincing weight and feel to them, which is hard to do. Also I love how you paint the 'wrinkled paper' effect.

Can you tell me more about your subject matter and why you paint it?
