Hello,
I'm a watercolor wildlife artist who lived in Botswana and Zimbabwe for nearly 9 years. My paintings are inspired by hours spent watching and sketching wildlife in the African bush. Recently I spent 6 weeks at the Painted Dog Conservation project in Zimbabwe, searching for and sketching highly endangered African Wild Dogs as part of a Flag Expedition funded by Artists For Conservation. As a result of the trip I have created a traveling exhibition, which opens in March at Audubon Greenwich, Connecticut, USA. The exhibit and talk series will raise awareness of the dogs and funds for their conservation. To see dates & venues please visit the Events page. To read more about my trip please visit my website - www.NichollsWildlifeArt.com or email me at alison@nichollswildlifeart.com.

Lovely work Alison. I too am a wildlife artist and use watercolor; it's my favorite medium. It's challenging but so rewarding at the same time. I have always dreamed of going to Africa; you are so fortunate to have experienced it. Congrats to you for being selected for the AFC Flag Expedition, that must have been a wonderful experience! Will you be at the AFC show in Sept? ~Kelly

WOW you do some wonderful watercolors I haven't tried them yet , I haven't
gotten that brave but one day I will if you keep uploading your art. I think you really capture the true spirit of the animals.

Your wildlife watercolors are breathtaking. I especially love the color and the light in the latest post of the elephants.

Good luck with the travelling exhibition. I think everyone should have an experience living in a third world country at the grass roots level. I did a couple of years teaching in remote Aboriginal communities in THe Kimberley and N.T., Australia and I loved it.

Hi Alison, Thanks. Yes lots of visits to my website that would be nice. I'm in the process of creating a new site too. Custom this time to my specifications. I'm excited to have a site be reflective of my personality and title.   I'd love to hear about what you are up to. Just a blurb when you have a few minutes. Until then keep warm....   Jen
