Growing up on comic books, I always new art was in my future. After graduating with a Bachelors from CSU Pueblo in 2006 my goals became to find the right path for my art. After two years I can not say that I have found that path but the search continues.
During the weekdays I work as an accountants assistant, or a furniture installer, depending on the day. At night and on the weekends I am an oil painter who dables in charcoal drawings. A dream come true would be to make that leap to a full time painter. One day it will happen, until then I hope you enjoy my gallery. Also visit my website at www.tonypachakart.com

Hi Tony,

Thank you for your interest in the LANAI GALLERY COLLECTION of fine art reproductions.  I think you should submit 6 or more of your florals and the one palm tree piece.  These are ones that I feel would make a nice transition to our reproduction format.  You may submit your images to swenartonfineart@aol.com.  You can learn more about what we need in terms of size etc. by visiting www.patiopizzaz.com and clicking on the FOR ARTISTS and CALL TO ARTISTS tabs.  You may also just email me at the above mentioned email address and I will email you back with the SUBMISSIONS GUIDELINES.

Thanks again for contacting me.  Merry Christmas! I look forward to hearing from you wtih your submissions.

 Happy Holidays,

Joseph Swenarton

Tony,  thank you for you kind words.  I think you're very talented and should persevere to make your dreams come true.  Exposure is key to an artist.  I will be announcing an opportunity for artists to submit to a juried event sometime next month if you think you'd be interested.  I have art on my patio furniture web site www.patiopizzaz.com. It is manufactured to be displayed both indoors and out.  I think some of your pieces would make the transition very nicely so please keep in touch and if interested I will let you know when we are starting to take submissions.

 Keep up the good work!

Tony, thank you so much for your kind comments about my body of work. I really enjoyed looking through your gallery. I was especially drawn to your dog portraits and think they show your technical skill and your ability to capture emotion. It's tough to get those right in an animal painting and you've done that. Kudos to you.

Don't discount the money to be made in (quality) animal portraits. I don't do them but I know there are lots of folks who make a nice living at it and it's a step in the right direction (full-time art career) if you enjoy commission work.
