most anything hard rock, the new favorite is a group called hurt or thousand foot crutch

the classics are good, recently read Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway but the usual books include science fiction by Robert Jordan

the 300, shooter, sin city, and most of the movies that make you think like phenomenon or powder.

Growing up on comic books, I always new art was in my future. After graduating with a Bachelors from CSU Pueblo in 2006 my goals became to find the right path for my art. After two years I can not say that I have found that path but the search continues.
During the weekdays I work as an accountants assistant, or a furniture installer, depending on the day. At night and on the weekends I am an oil painter who dables in charcoal drawings. A dream come true would be to make that leap to a full time painter. One day it will happen, until then I hope you enjoy my gallery.

Tony, I got your message about the little girls portrait that I posted on my artscuttlebutt page. To answer your question,.. the medium is colored pencil and a little pastel, on pastel paper. Colored pencil is an amazing medium, with it's depth of values that can be achieved, it's ability to capture the smallest details, and it's buttery blendable and  layering nature. The process I used in the portrait of the little girl is a slow technique. But the results are worth the slow speed that is required. I also paint in oil, and watercolor, and acrylic. Hope that answers your question. Thank you for the compliment.  Tiffany
