| ABOUT ME |
the series i am working on right now is basically about life. its about the conflict between all of our plans and ambitions and grabs for control, and all of the unexpected stuff that life throws in the way of it. i carefully draw out patterns, put things into grids, create geometric designs, and then take a bunch of thinned down paint and let it do its thing over top of it, or scribble random shapes on top of it all. the idea is that in the end there is a harmony created. between the planning, rigor, and deliberate construction, and the drips, dissolves, and happy accidents, comes a gestalt that is analogous to all the events of a persons life contributing to who the person is.
that's the idea anyway.
