I believe flowers give us a sense of newness and rebirth. Flowers seem to remind us how each new day greets us with a sense of a new beginning. We love having the chance to not wilt in the mistakes of yesterday but to grow in the successes each new day can bring. We love having a chance to blossom in a new love and appreciation for the people and the world around us. Like a flower we are kissed with life, beauty and a grandiose sense of rediscovery. We are blessed to see a part of ourselves in each variety of flowers and we are blessed as well to see in each flower the loving face of God.

I am a reasonably happy guy in mid-life (not at all in crisis) Several years ago I started one lifelong dream of a college education. It must have become an addiction because I didn't stop with a Bachelor's Degree. I also completed a Master of Science Degree. Now, my great dream is to share my soul to the world through my love and talent for photography. My interest in photography is floral and scenic.

Hi Owen, To fiind places to enter or show my work I am on line alot searching, I am looking for wildlife shows to enter that takes time to find. As far as traveling I am in Florida about 5 times a year, Like now i just got back from a dive trip in cozumel and have to work 30 days in a row so I can leave in of aug back to Florida, That is where a life long friend lives and have alot of dive buddies there, am looking to transfer back there next year (hope to)

Hi Owen, Your photos are great!  Yes my interests are very much part of my art. As for my website my best friend in Florida does it for me, Florida is my second home and I spend a lot of time there when I can get out of work, I am the only site she does at this time( she's learning) I don't know about either of the two sites fineartstudioonline.com or artspan.com , so can't say much, the only one I have been on is yessy.com for some time, no sales just gets my name out.

it's funny reading your profile, I am mid life and just decided to get a masters of education (not masters of fine art as I originally considered) almost 30 years after getting my bachelors degree!


Your flowers are beautiful, such close, clear images. I sometimes paint flowers but have not posted those paintings because landscapes are my true love.
