My first art teaching job begins in August and I simply can not wait! I have been busy preparing for that so I have not painted recently.

I am in love with oil painting because it is so workable and the colors are vibrant. I am very interested in clouds...everytime you look at the sky its different and I do like change! Most of my work was done during painting classes. Now I am working on a cloud series so I will be posting more soon...

oh yea I also love outdoor sports, good movies, fuzzy animals (like my rabbit Bugsy), traveling, live music, friends, and a good night sleep.

You will find a job, just be patient.  It is hard to be an independent artist and a good art teacher since I felt it drew from the same well.  I know artist/teachers came and left at one of our our local high schools, but there has been one really great teacher there forever.  I think they have 3 art teachers.  But it isn't impossible, the schedule is pretty great.  Go visit the local schools and meet the teachers. Do some subbing so you have your name in the system.

I have an "art k-12" teching cert. and a BA in fine art but ended up teaching math...weird,huh ? Tough over here to find an art teaching job...just no demand i guess because of all the cutbacks. Good luck with your job search.

Nice paintings...I like "ruined view" the most (nice sky).
