Left CT at 17 for NYC. Fashion Institute of Technology graduate, worked in the fashion biz for 25 years. Returned to CT, married and moved to NJ, then NYC. I wrote three well-rejected novels while my husband toiled at IBM. Cancer came, we moved back to CT. I am a caregiver since 2004. My art keeps me sane, inspired, hopeful. We live on the water, the CT side of Long Island Sound. It's perfect.

What medium?  Well for the most I paint with acrylics, everything in my gallery is acrylics and mostly I use canvas and lately I have been grabbing some nice cardboard at COSTCO.  I like using cardboard be cause its free and big and it doesn't give when you go heavy with a brush.

I really like your work, I like that you incorporate natural things flowers, leaves and such and create these unique and well executed works.  I suspect your are the type of person that could make a gourmet meal from the simplest of ingredients.

Regards,

Roger

Lisabeth,

How would I ask a general question to anyone that can help me?  I know Artscuttlebutt  has a wealth of information with all of these great artist.  I need to write a press release about me and an event I am doing in 2 weeks.  can you tell me how to ask the audience on scuttlebutt? Thank you Lisabeth for helping me learn my way around. Kathleen

I revisited your gallery -  all your works have a certain freedom and flow, especially the new acrylics, its refreshing to me!

HI Lisabeth,   thanks so much for writing and saying hello!  It's been a long time since I've been on ASB....  I've been busy with kids and school, and art.... i hope to find some more time to get back with the community here, i"ve lost touch.

I haven't had a chance yet to review your page or any work on the site, will do so after I submit this note.   Did you get a chance to work with texture and use the techniques I told you about?   I'll be excited to see...

Hope you are well,  and keeping warm during these icy days of winter!

Love, Kara

I'm pleased to hear you took a look at my work. I'm not sure there is such a thing as truely original photography but I try to present my view in my own way. The abstracts are things I just see while exploring somewhere. The people have been somewhat more planned but I try to go where the subject and situation takes me. The latest work are the nudes which I have been considering making for some time. I have had some very strong images in my head that I am still exploring. Some have worked out, others remain to be tried. Keep exploring yorself, the work is great.
