Just finished reading all three of Julia Cameron's Artist Way books and have been sharing an on line blog with 19 women and we are now working with the Sound of Paper. I also have been dabbling in to REX RAY's book about collage works he's done. And headed into the book Art and Fear

I watch alot of movies, but grown out of the scary ones.

I'm a Collage and papermaking artist. I also teach and demo's on Collage and papermaking. I do outdoor fairs and I'm building up the courage to start seeking galleries. But I'm doing pretty good with the little local cafe and artist guilds and leagues. I enjoy my walks in the woods for meditation in motions. I have 4 teens still living at home 2 in college and 2 soon to be. The Homestead is a busy place and loving every minute of it.
My website is at mochahost
My personal blog is blogger

What is your Teaching Philosophy?
My philosophy as an art instructor is to help student understand making art is a process and that through the process they will be exploring, experimenting, evolving and honing in on their own visual perspective of the world around them. I strongly feel art is about events happening in our every day lives and to capture that emotion, sound, color, taste, texture and perspective of your view is what becomes the artist's challenge, to seek and express. So I hope that I can inspire my students to do just that.

people who complain alot, are negetive and gossip.

Walking in the woods, resale shoppping, and hitting the dollar stores.

If you happen to receive the Watercolor Artist Magazine for Feb 2009 check out the Collage Artist Section.  A few of fellow collagers are in there.  Including myself.

Hi Laura,

I actually debated in my head for about 10 seconds whether or not to share, but then I stole the technique from an excewllent painter who was a grad student when I was an undergrad, so my internal debate was over.  My favorite professor always said to watch what someone who's work you lke, then stael the idea and make it your own.  Oh well.

Thank you for your kind words, I love your technique with the crows.

Hi Luara,

Thanks for your kind words.  The piece is oil on streched canvas gesso'd, then overlaid with gessoed old jeans, then gessoed agaqin and then finally painted.  Now the secret's out.  LOL.  Glad you like it.

Thanks for the comment on "Break from Office Routine."

Love your crows--beautiful; I guess I was checking out your gallery when you were looking at "Break."  All good work.  I like watching crows; now I'll have to start counting them.

 My new CROW COUNT series.

Hi all just finished this Series, for a show I'm having on line in New Zealand with Dale Copeland.   There all 8 x 8 on Watercolor paper with handmade and altered papers.  Acrylic back ground with oil pastels and a little sewing machine action too.  The piece were all made a the same time as I did for one I did for all.  Tough thing to do but a great challenge.  I have a passion for the wingeds one here and was given a book a long time ago Called Crows and ever page has a crow and the number and what it means when you see a crow in certain numbers.  I believe it's a England or Scottish tale, though there were many crows back then there mainly Magpie.  Comments welcome.  I plan on matting them with just a one white mat and have this beautiful cherry wood 12 x 12 frames from Gemini, I think number G2903.  Now I've got to go clean the studio for framing session.

Peace all
