Rock-n-Roll, Bluesy Rock or Folk Rock--Jack Johnson, Nora Jones, Neil Young, Jackson Browne, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLaughlin, Kansas, Steely Dan, Dave Matthews (older stuff) and more...

Too many to list or categorize; mostly non-fiction, biograhies, auto-biographies, instructional, spiritual, educational AND Stephen Colbert's, 'I am America and so can You'

Comedies, Drama, Documentaries--Anything that relates to life from an emotional viewpoint, or, in a meaningful way that regular people can relate to or learn from. In addition, movies (not sci-fi)that dramatize highly unlikely circumstances but are still plausible. I really loved 'The Reader,' and many, many, others.

My husband and I live a quiet life with our two dogs and extended family close by. We enjoy traveling to tropical places, particularly small islands.

As I get older, I try to remember that life is a short gift and to be grateful for all that is good.

Not necessarily in chronological order except for Love--that's Number 1; watching my grandchildren grow, and learn; painting; silence; solitude; meditation; prayer; family gatherings, meeting nice people; beaches; swimming or floating in the ocean; walks on nature trails; snorkeling in the Florida Springs on a really hot day; snorkeling the coral reefs in the Bahamas; good books; good music; kind, nice, funny, accepting, non-judgemental, honest, people; exercise, comedy; sunrises, sunsets, the wind; rain-when we need it; color, traveling to interesting and/or beautiful places; visiting art museums and shows; a day at the spa!

Hatred, ignorance, intolerance of others, foul language, loud noises, long lines, crowded places.

Cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, shopping; although I try to remember to be grateful that I am able to do those things...and they are necessary!

Art,Drawing,Painting,Creating,Organizing,
Photography, working online--none of these are 'hobbies' but are all part of my daily work life that I enjoy.

Julianne, I have found your remarks in the groups section interesting and intriguing.I have written an answer of my own. I have much more to say. But it is my opinion that in this format, we may write short statements, one idea at a time as we go, so others can, hopefully, join in. This communication makes me think, and I love it. Thank you. Hello.  I've never liked heights (I hear a small voice saying "jump") but your paintings are beautiful.

 Welcome.
