Originally from Ohio I moved to Northern Kentucky in 2005 but still work from my Cincinnati studio at The Pendleton Art Center in Over The Rhine.

I began showing my work professionally in the early 80’s. At that time painting close-up florals in watercolor and plein-aire landscapes. Family obligations required I take an extended leave from my art career until six years ago when I began again to work and show professionally.

I have been described as a Process Painter. In my work I aim for an organic feel while maintaining balance and poise, formally and emotionally, as well as an overall exuberance and element of surprise. Layering various water media, I love to combine acrylics with charcoal and other drawing media using texturing, patterning, and sometimes collage to create my intuitively inspired works on paper or canvas.
