I'm a recently retired art instructor with a focus on all methods of printmaking and photography. After 30 years of teaching art, I am now passionate about promoting non-toxic (safer) intaglio printmaking methods through workshops and exhibits at my studio/gallery. To learn more about safer printmaking, check out my website: www.goldenkoistudio.com.

Thanks for the comment on my abstract. The composition in your gallery really stands out. When you have a lot going on in an individual piece but the viewer notices all the different elements you've really done a great job.

I hope you don't mind me picking your brain for a second, but since you're a former art instructor I was wondering what you would recommend to an artist struggling with artist block?

Beautiful etchings. I love the medium. I was an etcher for about 15 years. Had to stop when carpal tunnel syndrome developed.

Hi Brent,

Thanks for taking a look see at the Crow Count series.  I just use polymer medium to build up layers on the surface of printed images which is printed on a clay base paper, like Hp presentation soft gloss lazer and then I transfer them to the surface that is coated with polymer too, and it becomes image transfers, along with all my hand made and altered papers.

as for design concept, I wondering sometimes and I'm sure you can see in the piece I make.  I always want to say one things but it comes out a different way, in fact better in the visual sense then in the verbal.

Love your piece with the quail feather? it's just so powerful.
