I'm a recently retired art instructor with a focus on all methods of printmaking and photography. After 30 years of teaching art, I am now passionate about promoting non-toxic (safer) intaglio printmaking methods through workshops and exhibits at my studio/gallery. To learn more about safer printmaking, check out my website: www.goldenkoistudio.com.

Hi, love the idea of safer printmaking! These days I'm using a digital camera more and  printing on art paper, but I do miss the dark room.

Thanks for the comments on my work. I've not done much in the way of printmaking.....except for Monotypes. I also appreciate the safer materials. I've ordered a lot of Akua inks but just haven't had time to use them yet.

Thanks for the friends request and the comments.  I have to say your portfolio is very impressive.  Excellent work, do you do display at any galleries or do any shows?

Also, Andrew Bird is a great musician, very unconventional, and original! :)

Great work!  I love how you unify all of the pieces with color.  Great Job!

You mean carbon tet isn't good for you? I know acetone is more fun. Must be all that clean southwestern air has got you hooked.

I have to admit I like your color work better than the dark toned works. They must be stunning in hand.

Fascinating work. So complex and rich.
I looked at your website, which is very nice too. I've always been intrigued by the printmaking process but have never had the opportunity to explore it.

Congrats!

Very interesting work!  Do you incorporate chene colle in some of your prints?

Great work, and a great website. I've recently started learning printmaking, and I'm both inspired by your work and interested in some of the techniques you mention (the art dept. where I am currently enrolled uses Ferric Chloride and vegetable oil, but I haven't learned about using copier toner). Thanks for posting some great work.
