I'm so, so tired of Hollywood and its inability to come up with an actual plot these days!

I love some of the old classics. Perhaps one of my favourites is The Trap (boy, does that date me!)

I was born in Oregon and spent 5 years in NYC, where my dad went to school. We then moved to Berkely for his last year and then onto Vancouver when he got a job at the University of BC. We've all been in Canada since.

I'm 54, and have been married for 34 years. We have two grown boys and had twin boys who died the day they were born because neither had kidneys.

I'm a professional photographer who specializes in companion animals, including horses, and human family maternity, birth and the newborn period.

I'm a digital artist and take some of my photographs to another level.

I've always loved animals and worked as a teenager, for 5 years, at Vancouver's Stanley Park Children's Zoo. I raised all sorts of creatures, from fawns to owls.

Finally, 13 years ago, I realized that I could not say I loved animals and still support the meat and dairy industries that cause them so very much pain and suffering. So my husband and I became vegans, almost overnight. About a year later we started to notice that animals treated us differently-- wild animals would come much closer for example. I guess we no longer smell like predators.

I'm also a writer-- one who loves controversy. I've had many pieces published in major newspapers and magazines and, the softer side of me, has had 4 stories in the Chicken Soup for the Soul books. (Hardly the right title for a vegan... ;-)

Animals including the human variety who take responsibility and are helping to make the Earth a better place for all life.
