HI Deb!!!  How are you?  I'm my usual busy self, but wanted to say hello to you, your new work is beatuiful!  I'm finding I can't keep track of all the things I'm 'on' so I'm reverting back to art scuttlebutt and some facebook .  It all takes TIME!  I mss being in contact with you.  Just spent 2 weeks back in midwest taking care of business for my mom who went into a nursing home in October.

I really enjoy your work, as well. Your use of color is right up my alley! Your Cross of Hope series is really cool, but I think my favorite, at least for now, is "Sweltering City". Now I'm going to go check out your blog. Happy Painting!   -Don

thanks for the fast reply.  yes--we as artists sure do need each other!  Hey---good luck on your show coming up and on your classes and wkshps this summer.  I am in a show too this summer . I will post more of my work maybe this week.  it's great that you paint and teach at the same time. I would love to do that too when I teach. Maybe I will consider this although when I paint I listen to loud jazz music in my ear but I guess I can do whatever I want when I teach-it's my space! if you don't mind my asking---how do you manage painting and teaching at the same time?? do you explain as you work to the students?   thanks  marlaya

hi--   it's Marlaya Charleston--- havn't been in touch with you or anyone on this website for a long time as I am always working---teaching---with not alot of time- finally getting ready to paint again after a long time.   gearing up. t's hard to begin again but I am moving forward in that direction. it helps me to make contact with other artists. I lost my job for the summr and probable alot of it for fall too so I am looking forward to focusing more on my art caree.  how is your art going??? I hope well.

LOL!!!!  I was so excited when I saw all dem gold stars...I clapped my hands and almost fell out mah seat in dah short bus!  

Hey...I really like your artist statement and your zest for life!  To me, that's deserving of at least four gold stars...maybe, just maybe...five....S-s-s-sayyyyyyyyyyyy, one day, dear child, you, too, shall receive the golden quints@artscuttlebutt.com.  !!!!!  Now, don't look too long at my row on my page, or your eyes will hurt from the glare...LOL...I'm so full of myself here lately...LOL....

Hey Deb, thank you for visiting my page, I am traveling overseas and will be back home on the 30th of March. Was away from my sculptures, looking forward to get back and follow the business........
