As a self taught artist, Colleen Marquis creates art that builds on natural talent as well as her incessant interest in exploring new ideas. Born in and a native of Louisiana, she started drawing at an early age and has spent many years learning new techniques self taught through her own explorations into the world of art. Her work includes paintings of oil and watercolors and her latest projects are creating three dimensional pieces made with mosaic tiles as well as pen and ink drawings. Her work has been featured in many juried exhibitions and has won numerous awards. Traditional ideas combined with extraordinary talent have resulted in many fine pieces of artwork.

Crowds, loud people, Standing in line, and raw oysters.

Pl visit my page I'm an artist & generating "Collages" from 100 % Organic Materials i.e.the natural 
texture/colors already catered/available in organic materials like dried
flowers, twigs, petals,leaves, etc
utilized to generate this art. My
palette/canvas is also a bark of Palm tree.

Thank you, Colleen.  I appreciate that.  I'm a first year high school teacher this year and have been putting in roughly 80 hours a week, so I have no energy for any other activity and my fine art has really suffered. This is actually the first time I've logged in since last summer.

 I love your iris's and portraits.  You are like me...you really get into those details!
