Nice work Karen!  Thanks for you comment a couple of months ago.  I not self-sufficient as I do have someone paying most of the bills, but at least I don't have to go to another job somewhere!!!

 3 cheers to many patrons!!

Thanks for the friends request.  I like the “Three for Thee” you posted; it reminds me of several varieties of flowers.

Nice work, Karen...There is a painter here in Providence who did a whole series of chairs that I loved. It's amazing how what we consider inanimate objects take on life and personality through art.

Thank you for commenting on my tea cup painting. It is the first in a series and the image online is actually not quite finished. The paint needed a little refining. When I was laying out the broken cup pieces to decide on a composition for painting them as a still life over the portrait, I decided I liked the actual pieces on the image! It had more impact. I did second guess myself if I was just being lazy, but realized that it really worked and to go with it.

Have a great day-

Cheryl

Hey Karen,

My work is pressed seaweed. After a process of gathering, cleaning, placing it between two layers of netting, tons of newspapers top and bottom, then weighting everything down with stacks of heavy books, I wait about 2 weeks and see what I have!

I love your work, have looked before. Moroccan tannery is one of my favorites. Your use of color and not too much detail appeals to me.

I am experimenting with mixing acrylics with seaweed and flowers, just in beginning stages. Let's be friends, Lisabeth
