I am a wife, mother to two sweet little children (ages 2 and 6), nurse and painter. Success for me is finding joyful balance.

"Art is a valuable healing experience, both in
the creating and the viewing. The silent
connection made between the artist and viewer
speaks a language that often soothes and
quiets the spirit. I am intrigued by this
language of art and the artist's ability to
connect with the observer, communicating a
vision, thought, or feeling through line,
composition, mood, or color. My subjects for
paintings are inspirations from my immediate
world and are my opportunities to find beauty
in the ordinary, everyday moments. My goal in
art is to find a simple way to express what I have discovered."

I paint almost daily (even if it is just a little) at my home studio or my working studio at LibertyTown Arts in Fredericksburg, VA. LibertyTown Arts.

Thank you so much for your kind comments on "Bless Her Little Heart" (my hen pastel painting). I viewed, and thoroughly enjoyed, your gallery. Your watercolors and florals are beautiful but I must say what took my breath away was your pastel, 'The Matriarch." She is a showpiece. I hope you have entered her somewhere. Thanks for the comment on my ‘sunflower series cp.’  I took a look at your site and found we enjoy the same subjects. Your watercolors are wonderful, great depth of color and strong contrasts, especially on the aquabord. I really enjoy that surface and I’ve found it quite forgiving compared to paper, though I like the effects on both. I particularly like the design found in your painting, Life Unfolding.


I really like your pastels as well, especially the incredible volume and depth found in the Apples Up on Top.
